6 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup cocoa powder
¾ cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs (room temperature)
1 tablespoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line 8-in square baking pan with parchment paper leaving extra length on 2 sides for easy removal. Butter parchment and pan.
Melt together butter and semi sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler. Stir until smooth.
In a medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together eggs, sugar and vanilla until smooths and pale.
Whisk in chocolate butter mixture. Slowly whisk in flour mixture until just combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Pour mixture into lined baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool for 20 minutes. Lift brownies from pan onto cooling rack.
