Candied Maple Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pie dough
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1½ tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1¾ cup pecan halves
  • 1 prepared pie dough
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1¾ cup pecan halves

Butter Pecan Ice Cream Blended with Butter-Roasted Pecans and Cashews

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place prepared pie dough into pie plate and crimp edges.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add in sugar, salt and spices and blend well. Beat in vanilla, melted butter and maple syrup. Fold in pecan halves.
  4. Pour mixture into prepared pie dough and bake for 40 – 45 minutes or until pie is set.
  5. If crust edges are browning too quickly, cover pie crust lightly with foil.
  6. Allow pie to completely cool before serving.
  7. Serve with Velvet Butter Pecan & Cashew ice cream.
