Velvet Ice Cream Co., Inc., a regional ice cream manufacturer and distributor, is seeking a Route Sales Representative (Driver) for the Bucyrus, Ohio office. Candidates should be self-starters, with a drive and passion for selling. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Previous experience and knowledge in the food industry is preferred.
Key Characteristics: Self-starter; Ability to work independently; Sales experience and ability; DSD experience; Route delivery experience and CDL; Organized; Customer service focus; Experience with direct customer service; and Ability to meet physical requirements.

Early starting time
Work 5 days every week
Able to tolerate sub-zero temperature for extended periods
Lift/carry 50 pounds regularly without difficulty or discomfort
Climb up and down from cab and rear truck door safely throughout the work day
Be a safe and patient driver
Drive both manual and automatic transmission equipped vehicles
Check truck fluids daily and fill as needed
Learn and properly use electronic delivery system equipment
Count, balance and deposit receivables daily (cash + checks + money orders)
Learn and adhere to daily processes and procedures
Maintain an even temperament to diffuse and resolve issues at customer locations
