Savor the Holiday Season with Velvet Ice Cream’s Peppermint Stick and Pumpkin Pie Flavors

Seasonal Flavors Available for a Limited Time

Utica, Ohio (October 23, 2007) – Just in time for the holiday season, Velvet Ice Cream is bringing back Peppermint Stick Ice Cream to join Pumpkin Pie in the company’s holiday flavor line up. Both holiday favorites are part of the Limited Sensations program and will only be available for a limited time. The flavors will be in stores through December or until Velvet’s supply of the ingredients is depleted.

Peppermint Stick Ice Cream blends red peppermint candies with smooth mint ice cream. Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream is a savory combination of pure ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and bits of graham cracker crust in creamy pumpkin pie ice cream.

“Pumpkin Pie and Peppermint are signature holiday flavors that really translate well into ice cream,” said Luconda Dager, vice president of sales and marketing, Velvet Ice Cream. “These ice creams are a twist on the classic seasonal desserts that are such a delicious part of everyone’s holiday traditions.”

Throughout the year, the Limited Sensations program features new and seasonal ice cream flavors. Consumers can purchase Limited Sensations flavors at grocery stores, local ice cream shops and at Ye Olde Mill, Velvet Ice Cream’s company headquarters, in Utica, Ohio.

“We keep both flavors on hand as ready-to-eat treats for family and friends that stop by our house during the holidays,” added Dager. “It’s such a hectic time of year, that I rarely have time to bake pies. We’ve developed several ice cream recipes that make Pumpkin Pie and Peppermint Stick ice creams an easy and fun alternatives to the traditional dessert, hostess gift or midnight snack.”
