Velvet Ice Cream Introduces Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Crème Pie

Two New Flavors Added to Limited Sensations Program

Utica, Ohio (June 1, 2007) – Just in time for the warm days of summer, Velvet Ice Cream is introducing two new flavors through the company’s Limited Sensations program. Beginning in June, ice cream fans can start scooping up Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Crème Pie ice creams. As with other Limited Sensations flavors, Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Crème Pie will only be available for a limited time.

Strawberry Shortcake is a refreshing vanilla ice cream with moist pieces of shortcake and strawberry preserves swirled throughout. Lemon Crème Pie is an energizing lemon ice cream with bits of pie crust and ribbons of lemon swirl all the way through.

“Strawberry Shortcake and Lemon Crème Pie embody summer and provide taste sensations that bring back memories of summer vacations. Throughout the year, the Limited Sensations program features new and seasonal ice cream flavors. Consumers can purchase Limited Sensations flavors at grocery stores, local ice cream shops and at Ye Olde Mill, Velvet Ice Cream’s company headquarters, in Utica, Ohio. The flavors capitalize on the freshest ingredients available during the early summer and will be produced until Velvet’s supply of the ingredients is depleted.

“With more than 200 recipes for ice cream, we couldn’t pick just one summer flavor,” Dager said. “After multiple taste-testing sessions, we decided both offered the unique blend of ingredients that has made Velvet successful.
